The esterification reaction between 2-ethylhexanol and phosphorus oxychloride produces diisooctyl phosphate, which is hydrolyzed with an alkaline solution to obtain a sodium salt, which is obtained by acidification with sulfuric acid.
1. Esterify in a glass-lined reaction pot, add phosphorus oxychloride first, stir and cool, add 2-ethyl n-alcohol dropwise below 10°C, continue stirring for 1h after the addition, slowly increase the temperature to 20-45°C and discharge hydrogen chloride 3h, then increase the temperature to 45-50°C, pump the hydrogen chloride gas with a water jet pump for 3h, and finally increase the temperature to 50-60°C, and discharge the hydrogen chloride gas under a vacuum of 80kPa for 3h.
2. Hydrolysis Add 20% liquid caustic soda to the hydrolysis pot, stir, drop the above-mentioned esterified product below 60 ℃, heat up to 80-90 ℃, keep it for 1h, let stand for 15min, and put the lower-layer wastewater away. Add 30% liquid caustic soda under stirring, raise the temperature to 120 °C and reflux for 1 h, let stand for 15 min, the lower caustic solution is released and recovered. The materials in the hydrolysis pot are washed with 3% alkaline water at 80-90℃ for acidification.
3. Add 10% sulfuric acid to the acidified hydrolysate, acidify at a temperature of 50-60℃, acidify for 1h, and remove the lower layer of acid water. Wash with water. Finally, it is heated to 110-120°C in the membrane separation tower to remove water and low boilers to obtain the finished product. Industrial purity ≥90%. Raw material consumption quota: 2-ethylhexanol 1100kg/t, phosphorus oxychloride 590kg/t.
